Nevis Range is a very practical, hands-on company with a lively outdoor atmosphere. Staff is recruited largely on their foreseeable potential and adaptability. Working conditions and level of business are governed almost entirely by the weather and the seasons, demanding an unusual level of flexibility of all Nevis Range staff.
The number of employees varies from a core staff of 50 who work all year round to 100 at the height of a busy winter season. The key qualities that we look for in our staff are adaptability, resilience to harsh weather, passion for the outdoors, team spirit, good customer care skills and a sense of humour!! Seasonal employees include ski lift operators, groomer drivers, ski & board instructors, ski hire technicians and catering staff.

Other Useful Information
Accommodation
Nevis Range Development Company does not offer staff accommodation however most seasonal staff find accommodation quite easily in Fort William or the surrounding areas. If you do experience difficulties we can recommend certain local establishments who offer short-term accommodation until you can find something more permanent.
Uniform
All staff are provided with a uniform that is appropriate for the requirements of their particular job.
Training
If you are successful in your application you will be given an induction on arrival and specific training that is appropriate to your position within the company. Nevis Range has been accredited with the Investors in People Standard since the inception of the scheme.
Employee Benefits
All full-time staff receive a season pass, which allows access to the uplift facilities at Nevis Range and the other four ski areas in Scotland. Part-time staff receive a discounted price ticket, which offers the same benefits.
Local outdoor retail establishments offer full and part time staff discounts on goods.
Gaelic Language Plan
Nevis Range is presently in the process of implementing a Gaelic Language Plan in partnership with Bord na Gaidhlig.

Job Summary
The Marketing Admin Assistant works with the Marketing Manager. Marketing activities include marketing, PR and running events across all of the business activities - gondola trip, skiing and boarding, mountain biking, ropes course, functions, and restaurant and cafe bar. There is also involvement with day-to-day operations when required, especially during busy periods.
Primary Tasks
• Design printed adverts, posters, banners, signs, including making signs
• Keep business & consumer databases up to date, draft & send emails and letters
• Deliver brochures to the local tourist places
• Carry out market & customer care research, collate results
• Update Nevis Range website, other websites, facebook, twitter etc
• Make up vouchers
• Help organise and run events
• Ad hoc marketing activities
• Day-to-day operational tasks eg cashing up, dealing with enquiries, selling tickets
Knowledge and Skills Required
• Team player, reliable and hard working person
• Good written, communication and listening skills
• Well organised
• Excellent customer care skills
• Able to use Word & Excel
• An artistic flair and knowledge of / interest in learning graphics package
• Interest in Snowsports / outdoor activities
• Driving license essential

An opportunity to join our company in a key role. This is a permanent position.
You would be responsible for all food production in our 150 seat self-service mountain restaurant and 60 seat base station café-bar serving a range of freshly prepared meals and snacks through out the day.We are also in the process of expanding our function business so menu input would be a requirement.
You would be in charge of a team of 4 and be able to organise rota’s for both kitchens.
Experience of ordering would also be a requirement as would a good knowledge of food hygiene regulations
You would work a 40 hour week no split shifts 5 days out of 7 and you would get 28 days holidays per year. Salary will be dependant on experience
You would also get free use of all Nevis Range facilities and activities.
