Gondola uplift for World Cup downhill & Red Giant XC is now CLOSED, but you can still pedal the Witch's Trails for free!

Downhill and Red Giant
Sat 9 May
OPENING DAY of gondola accessed trails
Uplift for Downhill and Red Giant XC opens for the summer season - vehicle uplift to blue Adder + Cats Eyes - mini donwhill - guided tours - coaching - BBQ - music TBC. Downhill Off Beat wall section closed. Blue Adder XC - closed for race part of day.

BDS Downhill Race
Downhill track will close at 1.45pm on Friday 15 May for track preparation, and will be closed for the race on Sat 16 and Sun 17 May. Red Giant remains open.

World Cup Preparations
Sections of the Downhill will be closed for maintenance, and signed diversions in place, during the run up to the Mountain Bike World Cup. [Updated 18/5/15]
Mon 1 - Sun 7 June
MTB World Cup
Downhill closed Mon 1 - Sun 7 June. Red Giant closed Thurs 4 - Sun 7 June. Witch's Trails around the carpark closed Sat 6 - Sun 7 June. All trails reopen as soon as tracks rideable on Mon 8 June.

Downhill track will be closed on these dates. Red Giant remains open.

Short stop & push diversion on DH track at Tower 13, works being carried out to lay underground cables.
Tues 15 Sep
Last day of gondola uplift for both Orange Downhill and Red Giant XC
The Downhill/Red Giant tracks must hibernate for winter. This weekend is the final weekend and your last chance to ride the Downhill this season. We’ll even have a BBQ on the go too.
Sat 29 Aug
Junior race series. This race will use part of the Witch's Trails, directions/diversions will be in place. Check back for updates closer to event date.
Sat 12 - 13 Sep
Round of the POC Scottish Enduro Series
The event will use some sections of the Witch's Trails, including the Blue Adder. [A map will be available at the main Ticket Office a the weekend.] The Timed Stages will be marshalled at start and finish and Nevis Range customers wishing to ride these Stages should let the marshals know who will hold back racing to allow this. No effect the DH or the Red Giant. The route will not be made public until just before the event. Open practice on the Saturday, race on the Sunday. Pinemarten open late on the Saturday evening.

Tour de Ben Nevis
This race event may use sections of the Witch's Trails in Leanachan Forest, diversions may be in place. Course details will follow closer to event date.
This 24 hour race event will use the Witch's Trails, diversions and directions will be in place. Course details will be released closer to event date.
Other trails in Leanachan Forest
The Forestry Commission are currently undertaking work on and near the Witch's Trails in Leanachan Forest. Any closures and diversions are signposted.
COUR LOOP – This route is not formally signposted nor maintained at present. Please note this trail is not managed by Nevis Range. [Updated 20/8/15]
